Tammy was born 6 1/2 weeks early and during her first year of life we almost lost her three times.
Never did I imagine God would call her home before he took me. A mother should never lose a child
before God calls her home. I should have been called first.
I am her mother and she was one of the most loving, kindest, caring, giving, compassionate, and
gentle people I have every known. She did so much for others and some people took advantage of that
quality in my daughter. I am proud and honored to be her mother.
Tammy has a 15 year old daughter, Brianna she left behind. She loved spending time with her
although, people prevented that from happening. She loved to spend time with her nieces and nephews.
She was one of four children being the oldest. She has a sister and four brothers and several
step-sisters and step-brothers.
Tammy enjoyed going to the beach especially Ocean City, Md., that was where we were planning our
vacation this year. She was looking forward to spending time with her brother DJ and his family at
the beach. She loved to ride the waves. She loved lighthouses and seashells. She would walk up and
down the beach looking for shells to bring home.
She loved to go to horseshows and watch her sister-in-law Krisen perform. Tammy enjoyed having her
nieces and nephews at the horseshows so they could ride in a kid's lead line and each one got a
trophy.
She loved amusement parks. Especially HersheyPark. That was the last vacation we took together as a
family with her daughter. She loved riding roller-coasters. Tammy went whereever I went on vacation
with whomever was going.
Tammy was a big Pittsburgh Steeler fan especially Polamalu. Infact when we called the Steeler office
before she passed away and explained about Tammy's condition, Troy Polamalu sent her an autographed
picture for her from him. She was so excited she cried.
She worked as a home-health aide and was a volunteer for hospice. She loved taking care of her
clients and they loved her so much that she would take them to amusement parks, baseball games or
whereever she may be going off the clock. It bought them such joy because nobody would do things
with them, but Tammy didn't care.
Tammy enjoyed life and she brought joy into any room she walked into. She talked to everybody even
if she didn't know them. By the end of the night she was friends with so many different people.
She had this funniest cackle when she laughed and we would always tease her about it, but I would
give anything to hear that cackle today. To hear her voice, see her smile, feel her arms around me
telling me, "I love you mummy."
Her favorite show was The Biggest Loser and we watched it together even though she was about 20
minutes away. We must have called each other at least 6 times to compare what we thought the
chalenge would be, who was going to win the chalenge and who was going to be eliminated. I still
watch it with her on Tuesday nights with her picture beside me on a pillow.
I love and miss her so much- She was only 38 years old and had so much to do in life yet. It was too
soon for her to be gone. She was my special angel and God called her home without a good-bye.
